| Starting December 1, 2007, the State of Michigan is charging a 6% tax on massage therapy. It is likely that people who have a physician's prescription for massage therapy will be tax-exempt. When this is confirmed (or denied) by the State, I will post the update. Rates & DiscountsEffective June 1, 2004 the rates are: 1 hour session $60 1½ hour session $80 ½ hour session $35 Packages of four or more sessions are available at a 10% discount. GIFT CERTIFICATES are available Personal checks, VISA & MASTERCARD are accepted New clients receive $10 off their first session Fire Fighters, Police Officers, and Veterans receive $10 off each and every session Referral Rewards ProgramWhen you refer a friend, they receive $10 off their first session and you receive $10 off your next one. (Or you can choose to save four rewards for a free one-hour massage!) About InsuranceFor treatment related to an injury sustained on the job or in an auto accident, massage is often covered with a prescription from your doctor. Massage therapy will need to be pre-approved by your auto or workers comp insurance company. Each situation is unique -- I will discuss with you (and your insurance company) whether it would be best for me to bill them directly or to provide you with documentation for reimbursement. Many people ask whether massage is covered by their health insurance. Generally the answer is no, although this is slowly changing. Check with your health insurance company for details about your coverage. >>> Hours & Location |
